Description
An invitation to enter the Russian Federation is a document, including an electronic document, which is the basis for issuing a visa to a foreign citizen or for entry into the Russian Federation in a manner that does not require obtaining a visa, in cases provided for by Federal Law No. 115-FZ of July 25, 2002 “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” or an international treaty of the Russian Federation.
Recipients
1. Citizens of the Russian Federation, including individual entrepreneurs. 2. Foreign citizens permanently residing in the territory of the Russian Federation. 3. Foreign citizens who are highly qualified specialists, carrying out labor activities in the territory of the Russian Federation, in the manner determined by Article 13.2 of Federal Law No. 115-FZ, if they invite members of their family. 4. Local government bodies. 5. Legal entities, including those registered outside the Russian Federation and carrying out activities in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Required documents
1. A request for an invitation in two copies. 2. A valid identity document of the inviting party + a copy. 3. A copy of the identity document of the invited foreign citizen and recognized by the Russian Federation as such, the validity of which, as a rule, must not expire earlier than 6 months from the date of expiration of the intended period of stay. In cases where the invited person is accompanied by family members included in his/her passport – copies of the relevant pages of the passport. 4. Letters of guarantee from the inviting party on the assumption of obligations for the material, medical and housing support of the invited foreign citizen for the period of his/her stay in the Russian Federation. 5. A receipt for payment of the state fee for issuing an invitation, in cases stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Documents that the applicant has the right to submit on his/her own initiative. 1. Copies of the permit for the attraction and use of foreign workers and the work permit, or a copy of the application with a note confirming the receipt of documents from the employer for the registration of a work permit for each foreign worker, in the case of issuing an invitation for the purpose of carrying out labor activities. 2. A special permit or approval from the federal security service body, granting the right of entry of the invited foreign citizen to the territory for entry into which such permit or approval is required. 3. A document confirming payment of the state fee. 4. A certificate of entry in the state register of accredited branches, representative offices of foreign legal entities or a certificate of entry in the state register of accredited branches, representative offices of foreign legal entities about an accredited branch, representative office of a foreign commercial organization that carried out activities on the basis of a permit before January 1, 2015. 5. A copy of the license of the educational organization to carry out educational activities, in the case of issuing an invitation to enter the Russian Federation for the purpose of training or as a teacher.
Visas for foreign citizens
Description
A visa is a permit document that gives foreign citizens and stateless persons the right to stay in the territory of the Russian Federation for a certain period. To enter Russia, citizens of most countries are required to obtain a Russian visa. The visa specifies the dates of entry and exit from the country, its type and frequency, as well as the passport details of the holder and information about the inviting party. A visa is a permit for both entry and exit. If you stay in the country longer than the period specified in the visa or lose your passport with a visa, then leaving the country will be extremely difficult.
Recipients
Foreign citizens and stateless persons located on the territory of the Russian Federation and who have applied for a government service in person or through a duly authorized representative.
Required documents
1. An application form with one photograph, completed legibly by hand or using technical means in Russian or in English without the use of abbreviations and acronyms. 2. A valid identity document of a foreign citizen and recognized as such by the Russian Federation. 3. In the case of a visa being issued on an insert visa form, two photographs measuring 3 x 4 cm must be additionally submitted. 4. To obtain a transit visa, a foreign citizen must additionally provide a travel ticket valid for exit from the Russian Federation or a confirmed guarantee of its purchase on the territory of the Russian Federation. 5. In case of extension or restoration of a visa, in addition to the above documents, a foreign citizen, or an organization, or a citizen of the Russian Federation, or a foreign citizen permanently residing in the Russian Federation, at whose invitation the foreign citizen is staying in the territory of the Russian Federation, shall additionally submit an application for extension or restoration of a visa (Appendices No. 1 and No. 2 to the Administrative Regulations approved by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated October 28, 2020 No. 734) in one copy. 6. In case of extension of an ordinary work or ordinary study visa, in addition to the above documents, the organization in which the foreign citizen carries out work or studies shall submit an employment contract or a civil law contract, or a document confirming the education of the foreign citizen, respectively. If the application form is submitted through a representative, the following shall be additionally submitted: An identity document of the representative. A document confirming the authority of the representative.
